  • Overdue and Replacement Cost
  • Overdue

  • If your items are overdue, you are not able to check out other materials until the items are returned. You also need to pay the late fee for the materials (₩100 per day for each item) that have passed the loan period.
  • -The purpose of fines is not to punish borrowers. Instead, the goal is to have library materials returned so that they can be used by others.

  • Replacement Cost

  • Borrowers are responsible for returning library materials by their due dates. If they return library materials in such condition that the library decides to replace them, then they will be billed for the cost of replacing the material. The fees are in addition to any fines that may have accumulated.
  • If the materials cannot be obtained, they must be reimbursed in an amount equal to twice the current market price, or as materials of equal or higher value and similar subject matter.
  • The library reserves the right to assess and declare the condition of all returned library materials. Library staff will assess damage to the materials. Damage fees may vary, depending on the extent of damage, up to the full replacement costs of the item. Highlighting, pen marks, crayon marks, and liquid stains are examples of damage to library materials.
